Major Features Release for SkillsDB

Welcome to SkillsDB, the hub for employee success. We help create skills-based organizations by managing employee skills and skills gaps, training and competencies. We are excited to announce our latest feature release - one that is a long-time coming - which includes several improvements designed to make SkillsDB more straightforward, efficient and easier to use.

First, we've made significant changes to the navigation. Now, you’ll find a left navigation bar that divides some of the core functionality, making finding what you're looking for much more accessible. Each item on the left bar represents features that used to be pop-ups or scattered throughout. By segmenting them, we've made everything more intuitive to navigate.

The second major piece to the update is a modern-looking user interface that is more uniform across all of SkillsDB. We took a ground-up approach to the redesign, focusing on simplicity and ease of use. The result is a sleek, modern, intuitive and an aesthetically pleasing look.

As part of this, we have standardized table functions:

  • Adding, editing and deleting a record can be found in the table title above the header row, as well as free text searching
  • There is now direct access to the column chooser, sorting and column filtering at the top right of every table, to help sift through data
  • If you need advanced sorting or advanced filtering, that’s now located at the top right of every table as well

The third element to this update is contextual help throughout SkillsDB. Accessed from the help icon at the top right, this provides helpful information and guidance relevant to any page. With this, users can access help content specific to where they are in SkillsDB, which means they can quickly get the help they need without leaving the page.

With these updates, we're confident SkillsDB will be even more valuable and easier to use than ever before. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us by going to help.skillsdb.com or send an email to support@skillsdb.com.
